Thomas Prahl & Jan Kirchhoff spent various years in different positions in the event industry. During this time, they gathered broad experience in tender processes.
The experience gained with software, research and the effort required to stay "up-to-date" has led Thomas Prahl to search for solutions that enable planners to keep pace with the dynamically evolving market. In the search for a solution it showed that there is no suitable product. After years of exchanges with manufacturers and discussions with colleagues as well as competitors, it was clear that there is no solution for this - unless one becomes part of the solution and creates such a database.
In Jan Kirchhoff, he found the right partner in 2014 who shares his experience and can look back on 20 years of IT and event experience.
The idea, which was developed in parallel with the ongoing projects of the companies of the founders, quickly became a project, which was not only much more comprehensive but also more time-consuming than originally thought because of feedback from the industry. Tenderspecs GmbH was founded in 2017, in which the founders, as managing directors, fully deploy the Tenderspecs platform.
The goal: Tenderspecs as a neutral, central product database with all necessary tendering data and direct manufacturer contacts. Win-win for planners and manufacturers and a long overdue tool for professionalizing the processes in the industry.
