The system is to consist of a passively separated 2-way loudspeaker cabinet, intended for ceiling installation, which is driven and protected by a special controller output stage. The loudspeaker should contain a 5 inch loudspeaker in a bass reflex tuned cabinet for the low frequency range. The loudspeakers used should be weatherproof and impregnated. In the high frequency range, a pressure chamber driver with a 1.75-inch ring diaphragm is to operate, which is located in a coaxial arrangement with the bass speaker. The pressure chamber driver used should be coupled to a symmetrical horn with a 90° dispersion angle. The continuous load capacity of the system shall be 125 watts RMS. The loudspeaker should have a nominal impedance of 16 Ohm. The usable system bandwidth shall be 90 Hertz to 30,000 Hertz (-3 dB). The maximum peak sound pressure level shall be 117 dB, measured with pink noise at 1 m distance, under half-space conditions and with a crest factor of 6. The loudspeaker cabinet shall be made of weather and moisture resistant aluminium. The front of the loudspeaker should be equipped with a ball-proof protective grille. Its physical dimensions should be 170 mm in width, 170 mm in height and 193 mm in depth. The ceiling cut-out should be 160 mm in average. The weight of the loudspeaker should be 4 kg. The loudspeaker should have M8 mounting points with which special accessories can be mounted. With a U-bracket included in the scope of delivery, the loudspeaker box can be mounted horizontally and vertically. The loudspeaker box should be connected via two 4-pole SpeakON sockets. The manufacturer's warranty shall be 5 years.

D5-CEILING is a professional full-range 2-way ultra-compact system for recessed ceiling and wall installation applications. It has a transmission range of 90Hz - 30kHz (-6dB), an AES power of 125 W and can reach a peak level of 117 dB (6dB Crest). The radiation pattern is symmetrical 90° in the vertical and horizontal directions. The system is operated, controlled and monitored by an external CODA AUDIO LINUS system amplifier.
